VIDEO: Joan Rivers remembered at Fashion Week #NYFW

People Joan RiversJoan Rivers passed away on Thursday, September 5th at the age of 81.

According to New York CBS Local

Rivers was hospitalized last week after she went into cardiac arrest and respiratory at Yorkville Endoscopy following a minor, elective vocal cord procedure. Daughter Melissa Rivers said she died around 1:15 p.m. at Mount Sinai Hospital, surrounded by family and close friends.

Who knew that store windows were such a big deal?
If you sit back and think about it, you’re often drawn into a store by what you see in the store window.

H&M is taking their store window efforts seriously by teaming up with actor Kate Mara and celebrity stylist Johnny Wujek to kick off New York Fashion Week.

In celebration of the launch of the H&M Studio Fall 2014 collection, Kate and Johnny will personally curate H&M windows in nine New York stores as well as rolling out their fashion picks across the U.S. in select stores and online. Known for their incredible eye for fashion, both Mara and Wujek’s vision for the window design will focus on their personal style and a love for New York City. The duo’s chemistry shines through their work and will be unveiled with an exclusive event and panel discussion for fashion students on September 4th at H&M’s new Fifth Avenue flagship store.

America’s favorite fitness guru, Jillian Michaels, is teaming up with Kmart this fall to launch Impact by Jillian Michaels, a performance activewear collection for women. Kmart’s relationship with Jillian brings a unique authenticity to the category as the retailer expands and strengthens its health and wellness offering across all platforms. The line will reflect Jillian’s passion for inspiring and empowering women as well as Kmart’s commitment to providing quality and affordability in fitness-related categories.

Impact by Jillian Michaels will be exclusive to Kmart, and offer apparel and accessories in four key categories: core training, running, yoga and lifestyle. Items within the collection will feature key technical attributes integral to activewear, including moisture-wicking and quick-drying properties, flat-lock stitching, reflective details and quality fabric blends for enhanced comfort and breathability. The line will also be infused with fashion and design elements that include fitted silhouettes, lightweight fabrics and pops of color and pattern.

“I wanted to create an athletic apparel line for Kmart that not only performed well, but looked great, too,” said Jillian. “I drew inspiration from every fitness category and trend out there, so no matter who you are and what you’re doing, you will feel empowered while wearing the collection.”

Impact by Jillian Michaels will be produced by IFG, a division of Adjmi Apparel Group, which is renowned for its quality and design in activewear. The collection will be available on Kmart.com beginning August 10 and at select Kmart stores nationwide on August 17. Prices for apparel and accessories will range from $10.99 to $36.99.
